Electric Technocracy, Fully Explained
Electric Technocracy is a complete governance design for a planet running on AI, robotics, and abundant energy. It removes professional politicians, dissolves the nation-state, taxes machines instead of people, distributes the gains as UBI, and keeps human beings as the only legitimate sovereign.
The world is migrating from an industrial logic to a digital and electric one. Production happens in data centers, factories run themselves, and decisions ripple across continents in seconds. Yet our political operating system is still made of paper laws, party careers, and 19th-century borders. Electric Technocracy proposes a clean upgrade — not a coup, but an architecture.
1. Post-national governance
The fragmentation of the planet into competing nation-states once made sense for slow trade and local industry. Today, climate, AI, finance, and disease move planet-wide. Electric Technocracy replaces the nation-state map with a unified planetary administration coordinated through digital infrastructure.
2. End of nation-states
Borders remain meaningful as cultural geography, but they no longer define sovereignty. Citizenship becomes planetary. Local autonomy is preserved through subsidiarity — global standards, local execution.
3. Abolition of professional politicians
Career politicians, parties, and lobbying machines are removed from the loop. Decision-making is returned to citizens themselves through Direct Digital Democracy. Parliaments become open public protocols.
4. Direct Digital Democracy
Citizens propose, debate, and vote directly on issues using secure digital infrastructure. Voting is continuous, granular, and auditable. Read the full DDD subpage →
5. ASI as support infrastructure
Artificial Superintelligence powers analysis, simulation, modeling, and administration. It never legislates. Multiple independent AI systems are kept in a transparent, auditable competition. Read the Human Sovereignty subpage →
6. Machine-funded public finance
The tax base shifts from human labor to machine productivity, automated production, and AI services. Read the Tech Tax & UBI subpage →
7. Human tax exemption & UBI
Humans no longer pay income tax. A universal automation dividend (UBI) is distributed to every citizen as their share of the machine economy.
8. Post-scarcity abundance
Energy, computation, food, housing, and basic services move toward abundance. Politics stops being a fight over the smaller half of a shrinking pie.
9. Peace, ecology, human development
Removing scarcity and territorial competition removes the structural drivers of war. Planetary coordination makes large-scale ecological repair possible. Humans get time back for science, creativity, family, and meaning.
10. Risks and safeguards
- Algorithmic capture — countered by plural AI systems and citizen veto.
- Surveillance drift — countered by privacy-first protocols and open audits.
- Loss of meaning — addressed through education, art, exploration, and longevity.
- Concentration of power — countered by post-national distribution and transparent law.
